Hailing from the quaint town of Grafton, Massachusetts, Shaun grew up alongside two brothers and various beloved pets. Her childhood, steeped in the arts—from theatre and dance to music—instilled an insatiable curiosity about the world, guiding her toward her profound journey in Yoga.
Shaun's path in Yoga began during high school and blossomed as she pursued a degree in theatre at the University of Vermont. Following her 200-hour teacher training, she delved deeper into her studies, culminating in a Master of Arts in Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University in 2019. Her academic endeavors encompassed classical yogic texts, Sanskrit, Samkhya, anatomy and physiology, Buddhism, Jainism, and an enriching two-month immersion in India.
A passionate advocate for Yoga philosophy, Shaun is committed to preserving and transmitting the authentic traditions of Yoga—recognizing it as more than just a physical practice. She encourages her students to explore the depth of Yoga's spiritual and philosophical dimensions, fostering a sense of autonomy and empowerment in their practice and lives.
Currently expanding her holistic healing expertise through eCornell's Plant Medicine Course, Shaun is a certified 500-hour E-RYT and Reiki Master. Her teaching weaves together the wisdom of Yogic philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism, dream Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Tantra. Known for their inclusivity, depth, and transformative potential, her classes and workshops offer students a unique fusion of ancient teachings and contemporary practice, inviting them to embark on a journey of personal growth and self-discovery through Yoga.
